A theoretical model of effective magnetostriction for nanocrystalline magnetic alloys was proposed considering the effects of impurity phases. The dependence of effective magnetostriction on the volume fraction of different components determined by annealing conditions was analyzed. Moreover, the phenomenon that the effective magnetostriction has a valley value which can’t be explained previously was interpreted perfectly by using this model. The results of theoretical analysis are in excellent agreement with existing experimental data.
